The primary aim of this proposal is to offer students hands-on experience in practical skills that extend beyond the classroom. Through a structured survey, participants will learn to create, administer, and analyze questionnaires, working with real-life data within a 1km radius of the college premises.
This proposal outlines a comprehensive approach to conducting a primary survey in data analytics. Our faculties are esteemed experts in the field and will spearhead different phases of the survey to provide students with practical insights into data collection, analysis, and implementation.
Objectives
- Survey Logistics/Location: The location identification, and instructing students on survey procedures will be provided by one of our head authoritative, ensuring an organized and ethical data collection process.
(We frequently encourage our clients to provide a range of 2 to 3, or even more, potential survey locations. This allows us to engage in discussions with the clients, comprehensively understand their requirements, and consider the natural processes involved. This selection of the best site from multiple sites is not only crucial for our decision-making process but also serves as a valuable learning opportunity for students as they grasp the nuances of conducting a primary survey.)
- Understanding Survey’s Relevance: Our experienced faculty will emphasize the significance and objectives of the survey, enlightening students about the importance of data collection.
- Data Collection and Coordination: Students will learn how to collect primary data, understand market surveys and will be constantly guided by an expert field surveyor.
Implementation
- Data Analysis: A data analyst, leveraging his expertise, will perform in-depth data analysis post-collection, interpreting the results to derive actionable insights.
- Understanding Data’s Utility: Our data expert will elucidate the data’s significance and trajectory, explaining how it can be implemented in real-world scenarios to meet specific needs.
- Student Learning and Doubt Resolution: Our faculty will actively engage with students to clarify doubts, ensuring maximum accuracy and comprehension in utilizing survey data effectively.

1. Expert Inclusion: Ms. Shreya Roy and Ms. Sumon Banerjee, eminent figures in the field, will play active roles in the primary survey–field survey. Data handling, designing methodologies, and reviewing results for comprehensive survey execution.
2. Engaging Non-teaching Staff: Involving non-teaching staff from local institutions enriches the survey with their local knowledge, contributing to more accurate data collection.
(We kindly request the assistance of a non-teaching staff member for the survey. We believe this would be more suitable as we aim to avoid disrupting the valuable time teaching staff devote to their students in colleges or institutions.)
