Ecofunomics learning journey has been an exciting path of discovery, purpose, and growth for me. I am Ms. Humsha Zahir, the academic and administrative research assistant at Ecofunomics. From the very beginning, I have been eager to connect sustainability learning with real-world responsibility. Every task, challenge, and project allowed me to not only apply what I had learned but also to stretch my confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills in ways I hadn’t imagined.
During my probationary period, I faced moments that tested my patience and adaptability, but each obstacle became a stepping stone toward personal and professional growth. From collaborating with diverse teams to navigating complex administrative and academic responsibilities, I learned the importance of resilience, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving.

Ecofunomics Learning Journey: A Warm Welcome and First Steps
Ecofunomics Learning Journey began with the offer letter and a welcoming gift. The offer letter clearly defined my role, expectations, and learning objectives.

The welcoming gift created a sense of belonging and motivation. It set a strong and encouraging tone right from the outset. I felt valued and prepared to contribute from the first day. Ecofunomics encouraged responsibility alongside learning. This approach supported early professional engagement.
Ecofunomics Learning Journey: First Month of Internship Supervision
It started with supervising a quantitative research internship batch. During the first month, I guided interns through structured research tasks. I explained research discipline, timelines, and ethical expectations.

This responsibility strengthened my mentoring confidence early. I monitored intern progress and clarified doubts regularly. The interns improved consistency and understanding of research. It also emphasized guided learning.

I received an opportunity to explain Ecofunomics and its sustainability mission. This experience improved my public communication skills. Ecofunomics Learning Journey involved active student engagement through field participation. At Loreto College, Ecofunomics organized interactive engagement activities. I guided participants and supported awareness initiatives. This role strengthened communication and coordination skills. I assisted with prize distribution and engagement management. The team ensured the smooth execution of activities. It highlighted teamwork in action.
Transition into Research Team Supervision
Ecofunomics Learning Journey progressed into research team supervision during the second month. I assumed the role of Research Team Supervisor. I monitored tasks, reviewed outputs, and guided team members to ensure effective collaboration. This role strengthened accountability and leadership skills. I ensured research quality and timely completion.
Co-Mentor for Quantitative Research Internship
My Journey expanded through co-mentoring responsibilities. I served as Co-Mentor for a quantitative research internship batch. I guided interns through data collection and analysis processes. This experience strengthened my academic mentoring skills. I reviewed datasets and provided structured feedback.
Research Writing and Knowledge Creation
The Learning Journey included active research, writing, and content creation. I wrote multiple blogs focused on sustainability and research insights. These blogs supported Ecofunomics outreach and knowledge sharing. This work strengthened my analytical and writing skills. I also contributed to a structured research paper. The research paper followed academic methodology and ethical standards and encouraged evidence-based writing.
Skills Gained During Probation
I developed strong skills in research, mentoring, and leadership. Through supervision and problem-solving, I gained confidence in taking responsibility and communicating effectively.
